I've been fascinated by Izima Karou's photographs for some time now. Although they are eerie and dark, they also have a calm, elegant presence. He shoots woman wearing designer clothing (YSL, Jil Sander, Vivienne Westwood, Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen) who appear dead, an interesting take on fashion photography to say the least. I suppose if you are going to die a violent death, you might as well go out wearing Comme des Garcons! Here's hoping the mortician is fashion savvy and appreciates it.
